What Shall We Do About...?

20. Vegetables w/ Alice Zaslavsky

Most parents know the struggle that is getting your kids to eat vegetables at dinner time. Maybe it's that classic moment from The Simpsons where Homer and Bart chant, 'You don't win friends with salad', that did it. Or maybe it's because our own parents worked super hard to sell veggies to us. Ever heard, 'Carrots will make you see in the dark!'? I'm thrilled that for our twentieth (!) episode we've got former MasterChef Australia contestant turned chef and author Alice Zaslavsky to talk about her favourite thing in the world - vegetables. She's currently shooting photos for a brand new book about vegetables, and has spent the last few years creating Phenomenom - a resource for teachers and kids that 'flips food education on its head'. You'll hear in this episode how hard Alice has been working to help kids fall in love with food in a way that she did growing up in the Soviet Union. Alice is on Twitter @aliceinframes and on Instagram @aliceinframes. Keep up to date with Alice's excellent endeavours at aliceinframes.com. Alice's book about vegetables is due out in November 2020.
